The project aims to investigate the writing as part of the creative thinking of the dance, in site specific contexts and it was developed around two central axes, namely: on the one hand, analyzing and reflecting on the way how the know of the writing can interfere in the creative processes in dance and on the other hand, experiencing the dificulty of the translation of the act of choreographic creation into another language, allowing to read on the layers of a 'phármakonised' body the duplicity of meaning, the ambiguity and the possibility of generating a body written in itself, or in other words: "(...) . instead of something distinguished from something else, imagine something which distinguishes itself – and yet ... though it were distinguishing itself from that which does not distinguish itself from it"(Deleuze .1968, p. 81) - medicine and poison.

Away

Away
Bruno de Azevedo
Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias # Funchal - Abril 2018

https://jrfilipe.wixsite.com/offtrack

offtrack is a project by Rui Dias (music) and PlayBleu (video). Results from a personal artistic search for a personal language, that gathers influences by electronic, electroacoustic, experimental, ambient and minimalistic music, with a sonority that combines electronic sounds with acoustic sounds of amplified and processed objects. The combination with video, with a strong visual identity, unique for each piece, creates a contemplative experience, simultaneously evocative and abstract, narrative and timeless.

LIQUID DANCE

What does mean for us as movers and dancer practitioners to live in a social environment that is constantly changing and is becoming less certain? In other words, what does mean for us as human beings and dance practitioners to be confronted by living in a “liquid society” a term created by sociologist Zygmunt Bauman and main stimulus to this proposal. The concept of “liquid life” developed by Bauman is the inspiration to develop a proposal that will have as a main interest the creation of a space in which a collective of dancers will explore some of the elements implied in the times we are facing and the consequences of living in a modern society. In this order of ideas, I ask myself how is this “liquidity” present in our lives and dance practices. How we manage to constantly shift and reshape our believes and as a consequence our body practices?
